Tathya is an IT company with headquarters in Kolkata, India, and offices in the United Kingdom, handling services for the Middle East, Europe and USA. The company holds ISO 9001:2000 certification.
For the past eleven years Tathya has provided a range of IT services to international corporates in the legal, insurance, travel, manufacturing and publishing sectors.
Tathya was founded by Indranil Mukherjee – an erstwhile academician – in 1997. The plan was to exploit the new platform of the Internet to provide IT services to businesses in the UK and USA from India, thus providing those companies with enormous savings.
The model was an instant hit. Over the next eight years the company grew by at least 100% each year. In 2005, Tathya initiated major expansion, adding the digitising of paper documents and the provision of Back Office services to its portfolio. The company’s staffing grew to some 400 employees working in secure, purpose-built offices in Kolkata, India.
